Filling out your profile completely and accurately will help you whilst networking in the event. Go to Your Profile under the Settings icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen. You have the option to upload a profile picture, write a short description, and add your social media feeds. Once you have filled out your profile, make sure to press Submit to save any changes.
To view the full agenda, click the Agenda icon in the top right-hand corner. By pre-selecting the sessions you wish to attend, they will be visible in My Agenda for quick access during the event.
To attend a live session, click on the Agenda icon and click on View. This will take you to the stage it is being hosted on. Once the session ends, the room will remain open for a few minutes giving you time to head to your next session or to a different stage.
There are several ways to communicate during the event. From the Lobby, go to the Networking area and click on the chat button.
You can post public messages on another delegate’s wall. These are visible to other delegates looking at that profile. To add a wall post, select the person you wish to talk to, click on the pencil icon, and post your message.
You can also send and receive secure, private messages with other delegates just like you would use email. To send a private message, select the person you wish to talk to, click on the envelope icon, and fill in the message and a subject.
You will be notified if you have any messages by the bell icon in the bottom right-hand corner showing a red exclamation label. Click to view the message.
From the Lobby, navigate to the Exhibition hall to view our event partners and interact with them at the booths. Once you are in a booth, you can view information on the partner.
You can add a wall post that will be viewable to all delegates that visit the stand. To speak privately with a booth representative, click on the name of the person you wish to speak to and send them a private message by clicking the envelope icon. You will see if a booth representative is active at their booth as the live chat icon will be available when you click into the stand.
If no booth representative is available, click We’re offline to send them a private message that they will respond to when they are back online.
You will see if an exhibitor is offering 1-to-1 meetings by the Meetings icon on their exhibition booth. Click on the icon and to see the available meeting times. You will get an email to confirm your booking once you have booked a meeting. When it is your time to join the meeting, click Launch meeting.
Click Documents view, download, or add their resources to your event bag. You can access your event bag by clicking the Event bag icon in the top right-hand corner.
You may be invited to a video chat. A notification will appear inviting you to chat. To join the video chat, click on the notification to be taken into the meeting. You can use this area as text chat if required. When entering a video chat, select your microphone and video options, then click Join Chat when you are ready.
To see who is active, click on the Who’s here icon in the top right-hand corner. You can search by name or institution.
Wherever you are, click Link to Lobby to return to the main screen.
The Video channel can be found in the top right-hand corner and is a resource hub where you can access the responses to our summit provocation – is this a new dawn for higher education?
