Universities for the public good:
driving economic and social development

30 June - 2 July 2020, São Paulo, Brazil

What is the THE Latin America Universities Summit?

The Times Higher Education Latin American Universities Summit 2020 will examine how the higher education sector across the region can develop strategies to build capacity, increase impact and improve public understanding of universities’ role in progressing society.

The summit will bring together leaders from across the region to focus on the internationalisation of universities within South and Central America, and how universities can strengthen their work in the humanities, reinforce their partnerships with the private sector, and reposition themselves as agents for positive change.

The University of São Paulo is one of the largest institutions of higher education in Latin America, and produces a significant proportion of the scientific papers published by Brazilian researchers. The summit will feature extensive and exclusive data workshops led by THE’s data team revealing the latest trends and insights into the strengths and weaknesses of higher education in the region. It will be the essential forum to attend for leaders and policymakers committed to advancing universities’ abilities to effect change in Latin America.

The summit will also feature the exclusive full reveal of the THE  Latin America University Rankings 2020, accompanied by a detailed masterclass examining the latest data.
